At the bottom of the signs outside our two churches, St. Andrew’s in Lucan and St. Mary’s in Leixlip, is a sentence that says “All Welcome”. This statement colours our work and life within the parish. We live that welcome everyday.

We are an Anglican Episcopal parish within the Church of Ireland. Our parish is a rapidly developing one in West Dublin and East Kildare. At present we have 320 families, the majority of whom are aged 25-40. A large number of these families are inter-church. We try to meet the needs of parishioners and friends through our parish centre which is occupied by various groups from early morning to late in the evening throughout the year.

For many, this is their first introduction to the life of our parish family. Through growing commitment new members become involved in the worship of our community. Holy Communion is the central act of worship each Sunday but variation occurs with family services being expressions of all-age worship.

Our churches are child-friendly places where a little noise is welcomed!! Children attend the “Acorns” groups during worship each Sunday where they follow the themes of the week through play and exploration.

There is something for you here in our parish and we welcome you to be part of our continued witness to the reality of Jesus Christ with us every day. We will welcome you and assist you in expressing your commitment through your gifts as you will grow through the gifts that others bring.

Please pray for us as we seek to be God’s witnesses in this place. May God bless you and your family each day.
